Type is originally meant to convey information.
But to me, letters are not merely symbols to be read. They are visual forms that can evoke memory, misreading, and emotion.Meaning is never fixed. It shifts through the viewer’s memories and experiences, gradually turning into another interpretation. People do not see facts as they are. They see what they want to see, in the way they want to see it.
I treat that uncertainty as typography.

文字は本来、情報を伝えるためのものだ。 しかし私にとって文字は、読むためだけの記号ではなく、記憶、誤読、感情を呼び起こす視覚的な存在である。 意味は固定されず、見る人の記憶や経験によって揺れ、別の解釈へと変化していく。 人は事実そのものではなく、自分の見たいものを自分の見たいように見ている。 その不確かさを私はタイポグラフィとして扱っている。
